SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced the projects to be included in its 2016-2021 Multi-Modal Transportation Improvement Program. The program includes 27 projects in the 87th District.
Over the next six years, IDOT will devote more than $77 million to projects within the four-county district, according to Rep. Tim Butler (R-Springfield).
$2,370,000 for resurfacing of Illinois 97 and Illinois 123 from north of Waring Road near Atterberry to north of Lake Petersburg Road.
$400,000 for culvert replacement along 7th Street at Illinois 97 in Petersburg
$1,000,000 for surveys of system expansion of the Eastern Bypass from Illinois 6 to Interstate 74 in Tazewell and Woodford Counties.
$2,400,000 for congestion mitigation on Illinois 9 from the edge of Tremont to the Interstate 155 ramps.
$750,000 for patching of Interstate 55 between the Sangamon County line and Illinois 10.
$14,000,000 for resurfacing and bridge repair along Interstate 55 and Business 55 around the Lincoln area.
$1,000,000 for resurfacing of Business 55 and Old US 66 in Lincoln.
$7,000,000 for resurfacing and bridge repair on Interstate 155 from the Tazewell County line to a point two miles south of the U.S. 136 exit.
$1,500,000 to resurface Illinois 10 from just east of the Mason County line to 2.5 miles east of New Holland.
$600,000 for a new culvert along Illinois 10 0.8 miles east of the Mason County line.
$750,000 to resurface Illinois 54 between 700th Street and McDonald Street east of Mt. Pulaski.
$725,000 for congestion mitigation at the intersection of Illinois 54 and McDonald Street in Mt. Pulaski.
$2,500,000 for bridge work on Illinois 54 at the southeast edge of Mt. Pulaski.
$1,350,000 for intersection improvements on Illinois 121 at McDonald Street southeast of Mt. Pulaski.
$200,000 for land acquisition at McDonald Street and Illinois 121 in Mt. Pulaski.
$2,600,000 for resurfacing and shoulder reconstruction on Illinois 121 from just southeast of Illinois 54 to 0.6 miles west of Beason Road/Chestnut Road west of Latham.
$3,100,000 for bridge rehabilitation on the Interstate 55 frontage road over Kickapoo Creek 0.3 miles northeast of Lawndale.
$225,000 to resurface McDonald Street between Illinois 54 and Illinois 121 in Mt. Pulaski.
$10,500,000 for phase two of engineering on Interstate 55 from West Lake Shore Drive to north of Clear Lake Avenue and Interstate 72 from Interstate 55 to Old U.S. 36.
$3,500,000 for phase two of engineering on Interstate 55 from the Clear Lake Avenue interchange to the Sangamon River.
$4,500,000 for phase two of engineering on Interstate 55 from the Sangamon River to north of the Sherman exit.
$3,000,000 to resurface Illinois 29 and Illinois 123 from the Menard County line to north of Fisher Road near Cantrall.
$6,300,000 for resurfacing and shoulder reconstruction of Illinois 29 from north of Fisher Road to just north of the Capital Airport entrance in Springfield.
$2,400,000 for culvert replacement and vertical realignment on Illinois 54 at Wolf Creek east of Barclay.
$1,900,000 for resurfacing of Illinois 123 between Illinois 29 and 0.6 miles west of Interstate 55.
$600,000 for culvert replacement on Illinois 123 just east of Illinois 29.
$2,000,000 for bridge replacement on Illinois 123 over Fancy Creek 2.7 miles east of Illinois 29.
